~ Puppy Contract ~
This contract is between the seller, Jennifer Sorta, and the buyer:______________________.
Buyer agrees to pay a $200 deposit. This deposit is non-refundable except in the case of the
expiration of the puppy before time of pick up or delivery. In that unlikely event, buyer would be
offered either a full refund, their choice of another puppy, or to be moved to a waiting list for the
next litter. Puppies are ready to leave at 8 weeks of age and must be picked up within one
week. Arrangements can be made for later pick up with the agreement of additional boarding
fees. Puppy has received 1st immunizations and de-wormings, has been socialized, vet
checked and well cared for.
Conditions of Warranty:
New owner agrees to complete puppy vaccines per schedule recommend by Veterinarian.
Buyer agrees to require a minimum three week time lapse (preferably four) between each
Distemper/Parvo vaccine, and between all other vaccines and Rabies vaccine. Failure to
observe the vaccine separation nullifies the genetic warranty. New owner agrees to quarantine
puppy from public exposure to other dogs until after vaccines are completed with the
understanding that the puppy is not yet fully protected from exposure to harmful, or fatal
disease. New owner agrees to crate train for safety of the puppy and to provide proper food,
shelter, socialization, grooming and exercise for puppy. This dog is NEVER to live in a cage
and is not sold for breeding. New owner agrees to feed Life's Abundance or Blue Buffalo dog
food, or another comparable holistic dog food for the life of the dog. New owner agrees to
supplement this dog with NuVet Vitamin supplements. Both NuVet and Life's Abundance are
available through breeders website. NuVet must be ordered through breeder's website so that
this can be tracked for the purpose of proving compliance to warranty conditions. Failure to
supplement with NuVet will nullify this contract beyond what NYS Sale of Dogs and Cats offers.
Warranty info:
Puppy has been found in good health and free from defects by Donner Creek Veterinary Clinic.
This puppy comes with a two year Genetic Warranty for Life Threatening Congenital Conditions.
based on conditions of warranty above. If a life threatening, genetic condition is verified prior to
two years of age by buyer’s vet and breeder’s vet, a replacement of the puppy of same sex and
quality/cost from the next available litter will be provided. Buyer will pay difference if choosing a
puppy of significant difference in price from original purchase. If pet has died, an autopsy at the
puppy owners expense must be perfomed to verify cause of death before replacement is given.
Medical costs associated with diagnosis are buyers responsibility. No additional medical
conditions will be covered under this warranty.
Breeder does not guarantee size, physical appearance or behavior as dog matures. Variations
in each of these areas are normal, and behaviors are greatlty affected by training and
environment and cannot be controlled by the breeder.
No puppy will be transferred from breeder to buyer until full/cleared payment is made.
